Cameroon’s natural rubber production is expected to reach 59,100 tons in 2025, up from 58,100 tons in 2024, according to new data from the Bank of Central African States (BEAC).
This modest increase confirms Cameroon’s leading role in the region’s rubber sector. The country is expected to contribute 93.6% of the 63,100 tons of rubber that BEAC forecasts for the entire Central African bloc. Gabon, the only other producer in the region, is projected to deliver just 4,000 tons in 2025.
While the year-on-year growth may seem small, the extra output is still expected to generate additional income for both the state and producers. In 2023, Cameroon exported 47,758 tons of rubber, earning CFA41.7 billion, according to the country’s National Institute of Statistics.
